The purpose of these JEDI events is to allow all applicants to any UCSD training program (regardless of field) to gain a better understanding of the diverse environment that UCSD has to offer.
- The session starts with a Webinar-based overview of EDI-related efforts & activities taking place across UCSD - provided by a panel of UCSD representatives.
- Followed by breakout Zoom-rooms where current UCSD trainees and applicants can meet to share their perspectives about EDI. It's also an opportunity for Q&A. The rooms will be broken up by field (e.g. surgery, medicine, peds, etc.)
In accordance with guidance from the AAMC, CORD and UCSD GME, we will be conducting a 100% virtual recruitment to promote equity, diversity, and inclusion
