NRMP Deadline for EM
The EMS Fellowship is a one-year, ACGME accredited program.
We generally offer a slot for 1 candidate per year of the fellowship. On rare occasions, a second slot may be available.
Prior to entry into the program, the fellow must have successfully completed an ACGME-accredited residency or an RCPSC-accredited residency located in Canada, excluding transitional year programs. Although the primary training site is UC San Diego Health, rotations are also offered at Rady Children’s Hospital, Veterans Administration Medical Center, San Diego, and El Centro Regional Medical Center.
International medical graduates are eligible to apply to the EMS/Disaster Medicine Fellowship if they are US Board eligible in emergency medicine and graduated from an ACGME accredited residency program.
