Healthcare Administration, Leadership and Management (HALM)
UCSD Health offers a two-year training program for physicians interested in health care administration and leadership. This program is an ACGME-accredited Healthcare Administration, Leadership, and Management (HALM) fellowship program overseen by the Office of the Chief Medical Officer at UC San Diego Health – a leading, three-campus academic health system center. The UC San Diego HALM fellowship program will prepare trainees to be successful leaders in a wide range of organizations. The curriculum includes project-based training, didactic education and experiential learning opportunities. A major focus of the program is system-level quality and patient safety, and fellows will get certification in Lean/Six Sigma.
The Department of Emergency Medicine works closely with the Office of Chief Medical Officer and HALM faculty include faculty from Emergency Medicine.
