Dr. Maya Stawnychy is a New York-born, New Jersey-raised physician with a passion for both medicine and the great outdoors. She earned her medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School after completing her undergraduate studies at Northeastern University. Maya then went on to complete her residency at UC San Diego, where she also served as Chief Resident. Currently, she is furthering her education at UC San Diego by pursuing a fellowship in Wilderness Medicine. Beyond her medical training, Maya finds joy in backpacking, surfing, backcountry skiing, and traveling abroad to explore diverse cultures.
