UCSD EM Fellowship Application Page

 

The UC San Diego Emergency Medicine Department houses a variety of fellowship training programs. Please note that we require the following application documents for all of our programs:

  • Personal Statement
  • CV
  • 3 Letters of Recommendation*. These letters will need to come from the following:
    • One Letter from your Residency Program Director
    • One Letter from an EM Department Chair or EM Department Medical Director
    • One Letter from a Subspecialty Faculty/Specialist

*If one of the above is not possible to obtain, please contact the Program Director and our Program Administrator.

  • MSPE/Dean’s Letter (this is an application document requirement from our Graduate Medical Education Department)
  • ITE Report (If you are submitting your application through ERAS or SCUF, please send this to our Program Administrator)
  • ECFMG Certificate (required if you graduated from an International Medical School)

 

How to Apply:

The following programs require their application materials sent to our Program Administrator, Mae Malong, at mmalong@health.ucsd.edu:

  • Hyperbaric and Dive Medicine
  • Emergency Medical Services & Disaster
  • Wilderness Medicine
  • Clinical Research

The following programs require that the applicants upload their application materials on their respective application service websites:

Any of the above that cannot be uploaded to application website can be forwarded to Mae Malong.

You will also need to register for the associated Match platforms for the following programs:
